Why does the Lord use angels? Alma 10:20-21

Thinking about angels, I started to wonder why God would choose to use them at all. I did a bit of research and learned that there are some differences between angels and angels, and also sometimes evil spirits are called angels, to make things even more confusing.

Angels are heavenly beings who minister for the Lord who are either:

1. spirits
- unembodied (have not yet obtained a body of flesh and bone)
- disembodied (they were once alive, now they're dead and waiting the Resurrection, which is when everybody's spirits will reunite with their bodies. And I do mean everybody, not just righteous people)

2. have bodies of flesh and bone
- resurrected humans
- translated or transfigured humans
- nonmortal beings who serve God (see 1 Kgs. 22:19; Alma 36:22 Gen. 28:12; 32:1; 2 Sam. 24:16; 1 Kgs. 19:5–7; 2 Kgs. 1:15; 19:35; Ps. 91:11)

Note that it doesn't say of flesh and blood. So, that's kinda weird. Some people speculate that they have some other substance that is not blood. It is not important to know, and I have no idea where I heard that. Probably something Danny heard on his mission and repeated to me. Which means it is likely false.

Then there's the "devil's angels." These are the spirits who followed Lucifer in the war in heaven and they were kicked out of heaven with him, sent to earth. See Rev. 12:1–9; D&C 29:36–38; Moses 4:1–4; Abr. 3:27–28.

Angels are messengers. Why does God use angels? I think it's just one way to organize the system of exaltation. Maybe (probably) it was necessary. I've read that angels are given specific divine missions, and that they are accountable for fulfilling those missions. It seems obvious that heavenly beings have certain abilities and powers that humans don't, maybe including how they communicate/report to God, or travel, or then there's the fact they're impervious to death.

Answer:
I think God uses angels for certain jobs because they are the best ones for those tasks, for whatever reason. Perhaps one reason that we see or hear about angels far less today than the past (or at least, it can seem that way) is because of the huge amount of power and capacity that we have in our modern times to minister to each other. It's no coincidence that we are now called to "minister" to each other.
